From blank install to a populated knowledge base in 60 seconds u2014 and what to do next.
The MyWiki Pro demo importer creates a fully functional knowledge base on a fresh install. It’s the fastest way to see how MyWiki feels with real content u2014 and a useful skeleton if you’re starting from scratch.
Run it
Go to Appearance u2192 MyWiki Demo in your WordPress admin. Click Import demo content. The import takes about 30 seconds.
What gets created
- 1 page: Wiki Home (set as your front page)
- 6 categories: Getting Started, Features, Customization, API Reference, Troubleshooting, Releases
- 20 articles: distributed across the categories with realistic body content, code examples, callouts, and headings
- 3 footer link blocks: Documentation, Resources, Support
It’s idempotent
Running the importer twice won’t duplicate posts. It updates existing demo articles in place by their slug. Safe to re-run after MyWiki Pro updates that bring new demo content.
Reset to blank
If you want to clear demo content before adding your own, the importer page has a Reset button that deletes everything it created. Your other content (existing posts, categories, settings) is untouched.
If you imported demo content and now want to start over with your own articles, the cleanest path is: Reset u2192 write your own u2192 ignore the importer.
