From a blank install to a populated knowledge base in under sixty seconds u2014 and what to do next.

After installing MyWiki and MyWiki Pro, the fastest way to see what the theme can do is to import the demo content. This populates a working knowledge base you can study, customize, or replace with your own articles.

Run the demo importer

From the WordPress admin, go to Appearance u2192 MyWiki Demo. Click Import demo content.

The importer creates:

  • A Wiki Home page using the Wiki template (set as your front page)
  • Six categories with descriptions
  • Twenty sample articles with body content and code examples
  • Footer link blocks for documentation, themes, and support

The importer is idempotent u2014 running it twice won’t duplicate content. It updates existing posts in place.

Pick your homepage

MyWiki ships with a custom Wiki Home page template. It renders a hero with search, a category grid, and a featured-articles section.

To use it, create a new page, set its template to Wiki Home, then under Settings u2192 Reading set A static page as the homepage and pick your new Wiki Home page.

Make it yours

Open Appearance u2192 Customize u2192 MyWiki Theme Options. Three places worth visiting first:

  • Skin u2014 pick a premium visual style (Editorial is shipped with v1.1.0)
  • Typography u2014 choose one of fifteen Google Font pairings tuned for long-form reading
  • Hero u2014 change the eyebrow, heading, italic accent, and subtitle on your homepage

That covers the essentials. The rest of these docs walk through each feature in detail.
